Press Corps is a committee that serves as an information bridge between the various AMUN committees involved in debates and discussions. It is very different from the other committees of Academy Model United Nations because Press Corps members do not debate with other delegates (and are not assigned to specific countries), but, rather, investigate the topics being discussed by these other delegates in their respective committees. This gives members a chance to learn about the different committees’ functions, and what they are discussing. The members of Press Corps act as professional reporters and journalists from the international print media, and do a substantial amount of writing. Therefore, they often interact with delegates from other committees in order to receive the information necessary to write an article. Once written, the members’ edited articles are printed in a collective chronicle that will be distributed to each committee for other delegates to read.
