Academy Model United Nations

documents

Documents such as the delegate guide, country matrix, and topic papers give delegates a hard-copy of their slice of AMUN. The delegate guide gives delegates all the necessary details about the conference in one handy document, which includes important information such as conference schedules, methods and tips on writing position papers, writing resolutions, and proper parliamentary procedure. The country matrix is the main database for the different delegates and their positions in AMUN. This document keeps track of all delegate assignments, attendance, and staff and chair designations. Topic papers, written by each committee, consist of the topics that the Chair believes are issues that the delegation should talk about during committee sessions. The topic paper is the starting point for many delegates' researches. Parliamentary procedure keeps any formal debate on track and organized. It is the set of rules and regulations that the actual United Nations follows during debate. Parliamentary procedure includes how to submit a resolution, how to speak in committee session, and voting procedures.
