The Group of Twenty Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors is an association of
the economic leaders of the twenty largest economies in the world. The organization represents eighty percent of the world’s GDP and eighty percent of world trade. In 2009 the G20 replaced the G8 as the main body of economic fairs for the wealthiest nations in the world. As such, the G20 has the duty of providing a forum for consultation on the international financial system forleaders of the world’s largest economies.
