The International Olympic Committee is a corporation which organizes the summer and
winter Olympics. Founded in 1894, the IOC’s goal is to foster increased international
cooperation and peace through athletics. Since then the IOC has expanded its mission to promote youth athletics and education as well as to ensure the sustainability of current Olympics.
