All Committees at AMUN XXII will be Single Delegate Committees.
Position Papers
Positions Papers are required for most committees at AMUN XXII, and will be considered in the determination of awards. They are due at the beginning of the first committee session to chairs. Delegates should write a position paper on each topic in their committee's guide, unless otherwise noted. For AMUN XXII, we require position papers for all General Assemblies, Economic & Social Councils, Regional Bodies, and Specialized Agencies. Position papers are not required of delegates in any Crisis Committee. Please consult the delegate guide below for guidelines.
Please submit your Position Paper by emailing the Chair of your Committee with a subject line in the format:

Committee Legislation + Plagiarism
Pre-written documents, including draft resolutions, clauses and directives, are strictly prohibited. This includes any language written before the conclusion of the first committee session at AMUN XXII. Research and careful planning is, of course, encouraged before the conference, but entering committee with completed legislation is unfair to other delegates and undermines the spirit of collaboration we strive for. Plagiarism, verbatim or near-verbatim copying of another individual's work, is also strictly prohibited. It is expected that every piece of committee legislation produced during the conference is the authentic work of the delegate(s) behind it. Accordingly, any delegates found to be plagiarizing work or bringing pre-written documents into committee will be disqualified from receiving awards, and their delegations from receiving delegation awards.
Awards
AMUN strives to provide delegates with an educational and enjoyable experience. We seek to help students debate issues of international significance in a welcoming and respectful setting. Although we do not promote an overly competitive environment, we want to recognize delegates who exceed expectations with their leadership ability and positive contributions to committee. Successful delegates will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of their committee's topics, show strong public speaking ability, remain in line with their country's policies, and engage diplomatically with their committee through comprise and negotiation. Finally, AMUN XXII will offer the following delegation awards to recognize schools who demonstrate excellence across committees:
*Small: 7-14 delegates
*Large: 15+ delegates |

*Subject to change based on the number of delegations and delegates per delegation in any given year.
