Christine Park
Christine Park serves as one of the Directors of Operations for AMUN 2010. She became very interested in Model UN after she realized her passion for public speaking, debate, and negotiation in her freshmen year. Christine pursued her interests by becoming involved in Model UN in her freshman year; she took electives that taught her everything she needed to know about the UN, parliamentary procedures, important countries, etc. Ever since, Christine has attended numerous conferences, not only during the school year but also during the summer, where she served as different delegates representing numerous countries including France in the Security Council (AMUN 09) and the United States in the Security Council (NYLC UN Summit 08). In addition, among her many trips to the UN, Christine attended the WIT conference during spring break of her junior year, where she experienced firsthand the excitement of a conference and a typical day on the job at the United Nations. This year, Christine will contribute to AMUN 2010 by fulfilling her Secretariat responsibilities as the Director of Operations.
Currently, Christine is a senior in the Academy for Business and Finance and is interested in pursuing a career in international relations/ global affairs, law, and/or political science. Besides being involved in Model UN, Christine is an active member of BCA’s World Vision and the BCA debate team. She also served as the secretary of one of BCA largest student run organizations, Harvesters, as well as vice president of her church’s youth group and praise team.
