Email: jeszha22@bergen.org Consumer Data Privacy and Internet Content Policing As the technological world continues to advance in developments and achievements, a plethora of concerns from users and regulators alike have arisen over personal data protection and online censorship. Due to a recent breakout of controversies and scandals with some of the largest multinational tech giants, including Facebook and Google LLC, these issues have been brought to the forefront of the global community. The past several years have seen some of the most wide-ranging privacy legislation implemented to date, as government bodies continue to tighten their reign on data protection regulations. Meanwhile, disagreements persist over the extent of internet content policing, and the control of disinformation and hate speech. In this committee, you will enter modern-day Silicon Valley, the global center for high-technology, innovation, and social media, as the heads of major global tech corporations. As you navigate the dichotomy of preserving your company interests and ensuring your consumers’ security and satisfaction, you must reach resolutions with other multinational corporations. The future of the technological world is up to you. ![]()
