Letter from the Secretary-General
Dear Delegates and Faculty Advisors,
Welcome to the twenty-fifth Academy Model United Nations! AMUN started 25 years ago in 1999. At BCA, we are honored to have a long-standing history of upholding the integrity and experience that AMUN fosters. For the past quarter of a century, (WOW I GET TO SAY THAT!?) AMUN has been devoted to creating an environment for students to express their interests in international affairs and the United Nations by practicing public speaking and debate skills.
This year, AMUN will host 11 committees ranging from topics like the global pharmaceutical industry to the Trojan War. We openly invite new and experienced delegates alike to share our tradition of debate and teamwork. We firmly believe that there is room for everyone at AMUN and delegates of all experience levels will be motivated to create policies and solutions that could have real impacts. We encourage delegates to act with respect and grace while dealing with the world’s most pressing issues.
This year’s AMUN will continue to have two double delegation committees, which include one specifically for novice delegates.
Thank you for placing your trust in BCA MUN for the past 25 years. We hope to see you all in February!
Good luck to all!
Best,
Krystal Jiang
