Moderator: Lina Mekonnen & Johana Zhu Email: [email protected] & [email protected] Topic: Shrek Embark on a journey to the faraway world of Far Far Away where ogres mingle with talking donkeys and fairytale royalty as trouble begins to brew amongst opposing forces fighting for Princess Fiona’s hand in marriage. Lord Farquaad, trying to maintain perfect order in his city of Duloc, kicks out all of the fairytale creatures into the swamp. However, he knows that his only way to earn the title of King is by marrying Princess Fiona. Meanwhile, the fairytale characters have to make it back to their homes in the palace. Despite this, another problem is afoot as the Fairy Godmother wants to conserve her deal with King Harold. She agrees that if her son, Prince Charming, marries Princess Fiona after saving her from the tower, he can become the next King. Fiona is trapped between marrying two guys she hasn’t even met, when Shrek crashes into her tower. It’s her true prince charming! Or is he? Shrek, just trying to get the fairytale creatures out of his swamp, ends up in a problem much larger than he expected. Delegates in this committee must be prepared to forge alliances and work with each other to figure out a true solution to this problem of love and power.
